There Will Come Soft Rains

Initial Post for DGST 101: #Dgst101

This week I chose to read this story by Ray Bradbury. While I was reading this story, I immediately noticed that there was a lot of commotion. Many things were happening back to back and it was a bit hard for me to fully grasp. With that being said, I read it twice more to fully understand and digest the short story. From what I understood from this story is that technology is over powering humans. An example of this was when the dog died and the fire occurred, the house was almost like a smart house, it portrayed duties that a human would do and it could take care of itself. I really enjoyed the underlying meaning of this short story and how technology and machines were used throughout it.

I used this image above because it reminded me of the movie WALL-E and how these robots and machines were very self-sufficient. #Dgst101
