The Evolution of the Internet

I had a hard time deciding what to do for my final project because there is so much involved in the internet itself. I then decided to expand on an idea I had earlier when I compared the internet from the past, present, and what I thought it would look…

I agree, I have become less hesitant about the terms and service conditions and I agree to them without reading because I trust that they are safe.

Terms of Service

Every time I sign up for a new app or go to a new web page on the internet, there is a terms of service portion that the users are meant to agree to, in order to continue. Personally, I never read them and after watching the youtube video, “Inside Edition,” I have realized that there are a lot of others who do not read them as well. I know that it is pretty dangerous not to read them because there could be underlying conditions that could lead to bigger problems in the corporation while using the app or the web service. I believe that the reason people do not read the terms and service agreements is because they trust that these popular apps and websites are safe to use, without reading the underlying fine print.

Rebuild the Internet

The internet to me is so complex and it is always evolving. For my project, I wanted to explore the relationships between a few different forms of technology. As humans, we evolve each and every day, but so does everything else around us. It is hard to really pin point…

I totally agree with you when you said this is a piece that you have not experienced before, because I was thinking the same thing! The picture is a great representation of the imagery in the short story!

I did not read this story since I wrote about the other one, but this one sounds very similar since the house was doing everything on its own. Was the picture of the lion chosen because of the stubbornness and devious intentions that you had talked about?

What is the Internet?

The internet as a whole is something so complex, I cannot begin to wrap my mind around it. The internet is always progressing and enhancing our cognitive skills. Just since last march, the internet has been used more than ever before. Our cognitive surplus is rising and the thought of…

There Will Come Soft Rains

Initial Post for DGST 101: #Dgst101 This week I chose to read this story by Ray Bradbury. While I was reading this story, I immediately noticed that there was a lot of commotion. Many things were happening back to back and it was a bit hard for me to fully grasp. With that being said, I read it twice more to fully understand and digest the short story. From what I understood from this story is that technology is over powering humans. An example of this was when the dog died and the fire occurred, the house was almost like a smart house, it portrayed duties that a human would do and it could take care of itself. I really enjoyed the underlying meaning of this short story and how technology and machines were used throughout it.
